En 2024, le connectome complet du cerveau de la drosophile était cartographié neurone par neurone tandis qu'en 2026, une mouche numérique « prend corps » dans un simulateur. Et l'abeille ? Avec ses 960 000 neurones, Apis mellifera pourrait être le prochain candidat.
